Alecia Hancock is a businesswoman and entrepreneur, with a passion for helping cause-based organisation tell their story.
Her education business – Hancock Creative – has won three Australian Web Awards for social media in WA, and a national Australian Web Award in 2015. Hancock Creative was also chosen as Telstra Micro Business of the Year (WA) in 2017, and voted by Anthill as one of Australia’s 100 Coolest Companies.
Alecia was a finalist for Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year in 2014 and was voted in the Top 100 Influential Person of the Year in 2016 by NIFNEX.
Alecia’s vision is to create sustainability in the cause sector by teaching organisations how to grow and market themselves in a digital world. She has worked with brands like Bankwest Foundation, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Australian Red Cross, Foodbank WA, Activ, Ability Centre and Lifeline WA.
She worked as journalist and magazine editor for more than 15 years, with most of her time spent at the helm of local and national magazines. Her work has appeared in The West Australian, marie claire, Cosmopolitan and Women’s Health & Fitness Magazine. Alecia is also currently a lecturer at Notre Dame University, teaching Interactive Media.
